Luck

Have you ever considered or wondered why some people are more lucky than others? Well research tells us it’s all in our mind. The boffins have laid out 5 special rules which will help us make the most out of life’s up and downs.

Feel Serendipity everywhere.

Research tells us that those people who call themselves lucky are also people who are predominately extrovert. These people are more likely to be lucky because they meet lots of different people and have many friends and acquaintances.

Ready yourself for chance.

Serendipity shines on people who are more relaxed  about their approach to life. These are the people who have long term goals, but are not too worried about the details. When they have chosen their goal they believe they will achieve it and that there are more than one way of attaining it.

They are open to life’s twists and turns and are ultimately very flexible. An open person goes shopping expecting to meet a new friend, business partner or lover, whereas a closed person will only see cans on the shelf. Having a large network of friends will increase you opportunities for luck, and being flexible also plays a big part. Doing new things with a positive attitude is a major factor in drawing new people into your life. Always be positive, and don’t focus on the negative things, this will take your mind off your goal and what you expect to find and happen.

Keep a look out for the unexpected.

By focusing on one specific task, you may be missing out on an easier route to your path to success, and it doesn’t always pay to be diligent and conscientious. It doesn’t always pay to work so hard at one particular task. Younger people tend to be more open because they are growing up and learning lots of new things, but as we get older we become more set in our ways and thinking which stifles our chances for change.

Have a yes attitude.

When we are programmed to find life’s opportunities, what happens when one jumps right at us? We often look for all the reasons why we can’t grab the opportunity, and why it is good to stay as we are! Lucky people are more likely to do something new, and not worry about what could go wrong. The more luck you have will increase your chances of getting even more luck. It’s like doing something for the first time where you don’t know anyone, at first you are nervous but at the end of it, you will have had a great time, meeting new people.

Except Failure.

Lucky people’s lives are not always perfect, in fact most business people have failed many times before they are successful. These people are not put off by failures but learn from them.
