Lose weight without exercising





Lose weight without having to exercise.  

Exercise is an essential part of any weight loss regime, and it must be coordinated together with eating a healthy balanced diet. Despite this warning there are many ways to lose weight without having to exercise.

You don’t need to get a gym membership and pack yourself off to the treadmill three nights a week, and you really do not have to put your running shoes on and start pounding the pavements night after night. Of course if you enjoy doing these activities then great, all the better and carry on doing them.

If on the other hand you want to lose weight without having to go through the agony and the pain barrier of regular exercise, then believe me you can, and you can do it and enjoy yourself at the same time.  

It’s important to stress and to point out there is only one real way to lose weight and that is to, [eat less and exercise more], though of course the exercise you do doesn’t have to be gruelling, but you do need to eat sensibly. You will do yourself much harm if you do not stick to a healthy diet. You can cut down on your food intake, but it has to be sensible. You must cut back on eating fatty foods, and fast foods in particular. All fast food does is give you a short sharp burst of fat and it’s always the wrong type of fat, it might taste good but it seldom satisfies your appetite for long, and the high content of salt makes you want more soon after eating your first portion.  

You need to increase you physical activity though that doesn’t mean exercise in the sense of strenuous exercise, however it does mean moving, getting up and doing something. If the average person moves just 10% more than they do today, much of the increasing health problems we see today will not arise.

Here a few easy ways for you to lose weight without having to exercise.  

Walk more
Very obvious isn’t it but instead of jumping in the car to go to the shops, walk to the shops instead. Give yourself a little extra time and have a brisk walk to the shops. Once you start doing this an amazing thing will happen, you will see things you never realized were there, but you also start meeting new people, who are also out of their cars walking, and trust me there are many people who are walking around our towns and villages.  

Go Shopping
Yes go shopping, and go more often. When you shop you don’t think about the exercise your body is gettng, you are concentrating on all the nice things displayed in the store or the shop window. Normally you would have a plan of things you want to buy and shops you must visit to buy them, but the next time you go shopping, don’t have a plan and just go where you mind takes you. Before you know it you will have walked for miles and hopefully lost some weight in the process.

Get on your bike
Do you remember when you were young, you were always out on your bike, going places and doing things, and I bet you were a lot slimmer then? When you were out and about you didn’t feel overweight or the tiring affects of turning the pedals, and you sometimes didn’t consider where you were going or how far you had gone. What’s stopping you getting on your bike now and going out for a ride. It doesn’t have to be strenuous, just a fun ride. You will rediscover a bit of your childhood in the process, why not go for it.  

Have a family day at the pool
One of the best ways of getting exercise without exercising is to go to the swimming pool. The great thing here is that you don’t need to do any swimming, just moving about in the pool and having fun is enough to get you all the exercise you need.

Do something for a good cause
Sign up with a volunteering group to plant trees or clear overgrown places. You’ll meet interesting new people doing it, and working as a team makes the exercise you are getting fun and the completion of a community project will give you so much satisfaction.  

Gardening
If you there are no community projects that you can get involved in, why not do something closer to home, and get your garden in shape. You can use a lot of energy weeding and digging the garden, you’ll be surprised how much effort these things take. If you haven’t got a flower bed to dig, create one, open up a space on the edge of  your lawn. You’ll get a great deal of pleasure doing it.    

These are just a few ideas you can use to lose weight without exercising, and don’t forget when you are doing these things your mind is off food, much more so than if you were sitting in the kitchen in front of all those snacks.
